KITICH CAMP

Kitich Camp is situted in a remote location on the slopes of the mountains in the Mathew's Forest.  The intimate gold eco rated 6-tented camp hides under the dense canopy of the forest.  

Kitich camp offers its guests walking safaris with the local Samburu guides, occasionaly having close sightings of the wildlife, as well as swimming in the clear river pools.

Kitich provides its guests with the old fashioned safari comforts.  

A pristine natural forest in Northern Kenya, that has been described by the BBC as a “biological bonanza".  The Mathew's Mountain Range is considered off the beaten track for a safari experience, but with plenty to offer.  The forest is home to a great variety of wildlife.  The forest is the natural habitat for the elusive "melanistic" (black coated) leopard, rare monkeys, elephants, lions, bushbuck and forest hog.  Walking safaris are the means for exploring the forest - giving guests the opportunity to appreciate the smaller wildlife, with over 150 species of butterfly, over 350 species of birds as well as the fauna and flora, the giant cycad and wild forest orchids.
