Amboseli, Chyulu & Tsavo

The vast southeast of Kenya is an ecosystem comprised of four different national parks, linked together by wildlife corridors and a number of conservancies.  In the west, lies Amboseli National Park, a swampy oasis in this dry savannah region known for the stunning views of Kilimanjaro.  The park can get relatively busy but our camps are carefully located to avoid the worst of this. Further east lie the verdant Chyulu Hills, a string a dormant and extinct volcanoes that have given rise to lush green hills, lava floes and craters. Tsavo East & Tsavo West are often grouped together, but in reality they couldn’t be more different. Tsavo West lies to the south of the main Nairobi-Mombasa highway and is characterized by wooded, hilly landscapes and black lava flows, whilst Tsavo East is an enormous park, mostly flat and bushy. Away from the core areas, both of these parks are truly wild and mostly unexplored – great for intrepid travelers.
